| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, April 25th, 2007: Law Lose Unknown for Season
Lacombe second baseman Joe Unknown could miss the remainder of the season because of a fractured cheekbone. He exited yesterday's Laredo game after injuring himself while being hit by a pitch. The original diagnosis said Unknown would be out 10 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer.
"He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

| Monday, April 23rd, 2007: SL2 Player of the Week Chosen
Not every ball that came off Rene Rivera's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Lacombe Law. For his exploits, Rivera was named this week's Sub League 2 Player of the Week award.
The Lacombe catcher put up 10 hits in 21 at-bats and 1 home run while hitting .476 with 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
In 2007 Rivera has put up a .254 batting average with 17 hits, 3 home runs and 15 RBIs.

 | Thursday, April 19th, 2007: Bennett Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Lacombe
For 21 games in a row Gary Bennett of the Jersey City Power had at least one hit in every game. His day of reckoning finally came at the hands of the Lacombe Law, who held him without a hit in 4 at-bats. To make matters worse, they also won the ballgame 3-1. After his last at-bat, the 35-year-old catcher was given a standing ovation by the Power Ballpark fans.
This year Bennett is hitting at a .353 pace with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs. He has played in 18 games and scored 8 times.
