Breaking News | | Friday, June 1st, 2007: Rabe Named SL2 Batter of the Month Josh Rabe is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Birmingham left fielder joined that select company when the Sub League 2 announced the results of May's voting.

When asked about his torrid-hitting left fielder, the Birmingham skipper said, "Rabe is playing great and is on fire now. Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Rabe was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said, "We lost the game. Nothing else really matters." J. Rabe grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th.

The hot-hitting left fielder went 2-for-4 in his team's 2-1 victory over the Kendall Advancers at Snipes Ballpark and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"He is definitely on a roll right now" said a Advancers pitcher. "I thought I made some good pitches against him, but he's a good hitter and hit 'em anyway."
When asked about his performance, Rabe said, "I don't care if I go hitless as long as we get the win." J. Rabe flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
