| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, May 29th, 2007: Taubenheim Gone for Season in Moose Jaw
The season is ending on a bad note for Ty Taubenheim, starting pitcher for the Moose Jaw Wombats. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Taubenheim was hurt against the Fort Wayne Braves while throwing a pitch. He suffered bone chips in his elbow and will be out for at least 7 months.
In 12 starts this season Taubenheim has chalked up a 5-3 record and a 3.78 ERA. |

There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Reed Johnson, the Moose Jaw right fielder, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the Sub League 2 Player of the Week honors.
Johnson piled up 13 hits in 26 at-bats, no home runs and 5 RBIs while hitting .500.
Johnson is batting .345 this season in 22 games with 1 home run, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 29 hits in 84 at-bats. |

It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around Moose Jaw were buzzing with the news that their 38-year-old catcher Brad Ausmus had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about Moose Jaw or wanting to leave." said one person.
