Friday, May 30th, 2008: Baltimore Halts Lind's Hitting Steak
Blue Jays left fielder Adam Lind was one of the hottest hitters in baseball, coming into today's game against Baltimore with a 24-game hitting streak. However, the Orioles put a chill in his bat, at least for today, and held him hitless in 3 at-bats during the Baltimore 7-5 triumph at Rogers Centre.

Currently Lind has 11 home runs and a .294 batting average.
Sunday, May 25th, 2008: Lind's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games
Adam Lind has been ripping hits every day for quite some time and no team seems to be able to stop him. The Toronto left fielder got 1 hit today against the Florida Marlins and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Blue Jays won the game 11-4.
A. Lind hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.

Thus far in 2008 Lind is batting .282 with 9 home runs, 33 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
Tuesday, May 20th, 2008: Homer #400 for Toronto's Giambi
"I wasn't trying to hit a homer. I just wanted to make contact."
That's what Jason Giambi told reporters after he made baseball history today at Rogers Centre. The prolific slugger belted home run #400 in the Toronto Blue Jays 8-7 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

The standout first baseman collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats with 3 runs batted in and 1 run scored.

"I guess this puts me in baseball's elite," said Giambi. "I don't feel any different. I probably should, but I don't. Still, it is a nice achievement. I did get a little excited, didn't I?"

In his career Giambi is batting .290 with 1797 hits, 400 home runs, 1125 runs scored and 1243 RBIs.
