| Breaking News |  | Sunday, May 13th, 2007: Backe Whitewashes Marvin
Brandon Backe humbled the Marvin Stampede today at Radicals Ballpark. In the 4-0 shutout win, he yielded 3 hits, fanned 10 and walked 0 to pace the Hialeah Radicals to victory.
So far this season, Backe has logged a 1-3 record with a 4.67 ERA. He has started 9 games, hurled 54 innings and registered 55 strikeouts and 14 walks. |
 | Saturday, May 12th, 2007: Marvin Loses Alexander for Year
Manny Alexander has to call it a season. The Marvin Stampede third baseman sustained a season-ending injury against the Hialeah Radicals and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Alexander was injured while colliding with a player at a base. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn rib cage muscle and stated that he would not be able to play for 7 months.
So far this season Alexander is batting .259 with 1 home run. |
