 | Friday, April 20th, 2007: Boone and Lopez Suspended 9 Games For Brawl It was quite a row yesterday at Baton Rouge Grounds. The Shrikes Aaron Boone and the Wombats Javier Lopez backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only Boone and Lopez were ejected. As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 9-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions. This season Boone is batting at a .309 clip with no home runs and 6 RBIs. Checking out his season stats to date, Lopez has no saves in 5 relief appearances with a 0-0 record and 3.00 ERA. |
