| Breaking News | | Sunday, May 13th, 2007: Lucas Ferguson Out for Season
After injuring himself, Demolishers right fielder Lucas Ferguson headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after making a defensive play and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Ferguson will miss at least 10-11 months with a ruptured disc.
This season Ferguson is hitting at a .324 pace with 3 home runs, 16 RBIs and has scored 18 times. |
 | Wednesday, April 25th, 2007: Joe Unknown to Miss 7 Months
The Lexington Demolishers will have to make do without Joe Unknown for 7 months. He suffered a ruptured tricep tendon while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Lubbock Speedsters. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the starting pitcher. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." Unknown will miss 7 months.

The news is bad in Lexington. The Demolishers have lost the services of starting pitcher Joe Unknown for the rest of the season due to a torn rotator cuff muscle. Unknown was injured in a recent game with the Madison Swans while throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 7 months.
