Breaking News | | Friday, April 6th, 2007: Hardy Slaps 5 Hits If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. J.J. Hardy showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the Modesto Snarlers and helped the Rochester Besiegers beat them 14-4.
The manager for the Snarlers told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames."
If Hardy keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise.
J. Hardy singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off J. Unknown in the 9th.
So far in 2007, Hardy is batting .400 with 1 home run and 3 RBIs. | | Monday, July 24th, 2006: Lester Shuts out Federals At Modesto Grounds today Tampa dropped a 6-0 decision to Jon Lester and the Modesto Snarlers.
