| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, April 17th, 2007: Unknown Hurt, out 10 Months
After the end of today's game between Westmere and Carlinville, Joe Unknown skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Manic had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The reliever will miss at least 10 months with bone chips in his elbow.

| Saturday, July 22nd, 2006: Season Possibly Over for Joe Unknown
Joe Unknown at first refused to leave today's Virginia Beach-Westmere game after he suffered a fractured skull while being hit by a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty Westmere catcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Unknown out of action for 8 months.
