| Breaking News | | Monday, May 28th, 2007: SL2 Awards Player of the Week
The marquee name in the Sub League 2 this week is Mike Rabelo of the Minneapolis Thunder.
The hot-hitting 27-year-old catcher put up a .591 average and .591 on-base percentage, piling up 13 hits in 22 at-bats, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
That kind of hitting got him the SL2 Player of the Week honors.
This year Rabelo has hit at a .374 clip with 65 hits, 8 home runs, 33 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
 | Wednesday, May 16th, 2007: Minneapolis's Unknown Sidelined for Season
The doctors have spoken and Joe Unknown of the Minneapolis Thunder didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old first baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Unknown sustained his season-ending injury during the Marvin Stampede game yesterday at Minneapolis Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Minneapolis medical staff reported Unknown had a torn abdominal muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.

| Tuesday, May 1st, 2007: SL2 Top Batter Trophy Won by Rabelo
Mike Rabelo was declared the Sub League 2 Batter of the Month today. Minneapolis's catcher stroked 33 hits in 89 at-bats for a .371 average in April.
He also hit 4 home runs, drove in 19 and scored 19 runs.
