Tuesday, May 8th, 2007: Players Suspended in Trappers-Carpenters Donnybrook
The action was hot and heavy at a recent Tulsa-Corpus Christi game at Ballpark of Tulsa in more ways than one. When tempers flared, both benches emptied and a mild melee ensued. The only thing hurt was a few players' pride. Two of the main figures in the brawl were suspended today by league officials. The Trappers Joe Unknown and Corpus Christi's Joe Unknown will each miss 3 games for their roles in the fight.

"We do not condone this kind of behavior on the field," the league announcement read. "As such, we feel that this punishment fits the actions taken by these two players. We hope that there will not be a repeat of the incident or else the consequences will be even more severe."

Monday, April 16th, 2007: Hernandez Gets No-Hitter Against Tulsa
It was a fantastic day for Orlando Hernandez of the Hialeah Radicals and a lousy day for the Tulsa Trappers. His pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered them in the 2-0 win. When it was over he was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter.

"The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go." Hernandez rang up 13 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks while shutting Tulsa down at Radicals Ballpark.

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007: Santana Fires No-Hitter Against Tulsa
It was a game that all pitchers dream about: a no-hitter.

It happened today at Marvin Grounds.

Ervin Santana of the Marvin Stampede was right on target against the Tulsa Trappers in his 3-0 victory. He really zeroed in on them, holding them hitless with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk.

Santana said he just had it all today, "very good stuff and great location, a combination that's hard to beat."
