The commissioner's office today notified Williston that first baseman Joe Unknown had been given a 4-game suspension for inappropriate actions in the recent Blue Rocks-Shrikes game at Williston Grounds. Unknown create a ruckus after being ejected for arguing a third strike call.

Sources inside the Williston organization have confirmed that Tanyon Sturtze's name has come up in trade talks. They were unable to verify, however, that someone has contacted the Blue Rocks about obtaining the 35-year-old reliever.

An injury, a torn labrum, has put an early end to the baseball career of Williston's 24-year-old reliever Joe Unknown. He was injured in yesterday's game against the Raleigh Mutiny while throwing a pitch. Team doctors reported today that the injury is so severe that Unknown will not be able to continue playing and will have to retire from the game.
