| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, May 1st, 2007: Pursuers Unknown to Miss Year
Bakersfield starting pitcher Joe Unknown could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured tricep tendon. He exited yesterday's Akron game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Unknown would be out 7-8 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer.
"He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

| Thursday, September 14th, 2006: Bakersfield Wins it All
The 2006 Round 3 is history, and ML Triple A has added another champion to its record book.
Bakersfield prevailed over Corpus Christi today with a 4-1 victory at Pursuers Stadium. It was the Pursuers 1st time claiming the title.
They compiled a 79-51 regular season record and finished in the first spot in the Sub League 1 Division 2 pennant chase.

 | Wednesday, August 30th, 2006: Bakersfield's Martinez Suspended
Bakersfield second baseman Ramon Martinez was suspended 3 games by the league office for throwing his bat and helmet after he was ejected for arguing with the plate umpire following a strikeout. The incident occurred in yesterday's game between the Pursuers and the Tampa Federals at Pursuers Stadium.
This year Martinez has hit at a .281 pace and produced 37 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 48 runs.
