Breaking News |  | Thursday, May 24th, 2007: Season Ends for Joe Unknown of Norfolk Watching Joe Unknown getting helped off the field today at Ballpark of Norfolk, fans of the Norfolk Revolution feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 7 months with a ruptured disc. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Unknown suffered the injury throwing the ball in the game against the Guerillas.
|  | Sunday, April 1st, 2007: Volquez Records Shutout Against Revolution Edinson Volquez of the Mesa Storks shut down the Norfolk Revolution 7-0 on an excellent 4-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 6 strikeouts and allowing 2 walks.
After the game Volquez said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today. I went right after them and stayed ahead in the count."
|  | Thursday, August 10th, 2006: Norfolk No Match for Sele It was a smooth and solid performance by Aaron Sele of the Bakersfield Pursuers against Norfolk today. He crafted a fine 4-hitter in blanking them 2-0 and chalked up 6 strikeouts and no walks along the way.
"It certainly makes my job easy," said the Bakersfield skipper. "When my pitcher pitches a shutout. I can just sit back, watch and enjoy."
