| Breaking News | | Sunday, May 6th, 2007: Season May Be Over for Sparrowhawks Campbell
Brett Campbell will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Durham reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Campbell was injured while throwing a pitch in the Sparrowhawks-Green Sox clash at Ballpark of Durham recently. Doctors said he has a fractured elbow and would be out a minimum of 7 months.
This season Campbell has recorded no saves with a 0-0 record. He's made 9 relief appearances, tossed 19.1 innings while fanning 4 with a 2.33 ERA. |

Joe Unknown will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Durham third baseman could miss the remainder of the year. Unknown was injured while making a defensive play in the Sparrowhawks-Whammers clash at Ballpark of Durham recently. Doctors said he has a fractured ankle and would be out a minimum of 7 months.

| Monday, April 9th, 2007: Ruíz on a Hot Streak, SL2 Player of the Week
The Durham Sparrowhawks received word today that first baseman António Ruíz was selected Sub League 2 Player of the Week for his stellar performance in last week's games.
Ruíz took full advantage of all 31 plate appearances last week as he hit .538 with 14 hits, 1 home run, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
