| Breaking News |  | Thursday, May 17th, 2007: Joe Unknown May Never Play Again
An injury, a fractured elbow, has put an early end to the baseball career of Mexico's 22-year-old reliever Joe Unknown. He was injured in yesterday's game against the West Warwick Zebras while throwing a pitch. Team doctors reported today that the injury is so severe that Unknown will not be able to continue playing and will have to retire from the game.

Joe Unknown of the Mexico Blue Hens was injured in today's game against West Warwick and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a fractured elbow and he is expected to be out for up to 8 months. It happened while Unknown was throwing a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."

After injuring himself, Blue Hens left fielder Joe Unknown headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after colliding with a player at a base and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Unknown will miss at least 11 months with a fractured skull.
