| Breaking News |  | Saturday, May 5th, 2007: Jimerson Boosts Hit Streak to 25 Games
Chalk up another one for Chula Vista right fielder Charlton Jimerson. He now has hit in 25 straight games. Jimerson went 2-for-5 today's game at Ballpark of Chula Vista. However, his club was defeated 5-3 by Plano.
C. Jimerson singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
This year Jimerson is hitting .384 with 1 home run. |
| Tuesday, May 1st, 2007: April's Premier Pitcher Announced By SL1
Following one of the brightest stretches in his career, the Sub League 1 awarded Plano reliever Matt O'Rourke April's Pitcher of the Month trophy.
He was mesmerizing as he held opponents to a .222 batting average and put together a 1-0 mark, 11 saves, 11 strikeouts and a 2.31 ERA during his 11.2 innings of work.

 | Sunday, August 6th, 2006: Plano Dazed, Carrillo Gets No-Hitter
No hitters are rare. But the fans at Stockton Grounds received a special gift as Gerardo Carrillo of the Rangers tossed a no-hitter against the Plano Turmoil. He was masterful as he struck out 7 and walked 1 in a 4-0 Stockton victory. In all Carrillo faced only 28 batters. Carrillo did not appear to have his best stuff in the early innings, but soon got into a groove and made quick work of the Turmoil. He was helped by several defensive gems along the way.
The Plano manager said to the press after the no-hitter, "We had our chances in the first few innings, when he was hittable, but he shut us down totally in the last 4-5 innings."
"I had late movement that seemed to cause them a lot of trouble, especially from the fifth inning on," Carrillo said to reporters.
This season Carrillo has worked 78.2 innings with 18 strikeouts en route to a 6-3 record and a 1.37 ERA.
