Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Lubbock-Staten Island contest at Speedsters Ballpark. The Speedsters Joe Unknown and the Mud Cats Joe Unknown will have to sit out 5 games for their part in the brawl.

Rumors circulating around town say catcher Chad Moeller is not happy at all playing in Staten Island and that the Mud Cats are actively shopping him around.

Chris Barnwell has a lot going for him. The Staten Island shortstop just broke into the majors this year and now the Sub League 1 has just picked him as its top hitter for June.
In 25 games last month, this outstanding rookie batted .394 with 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
This season in 79 games Barnwell is batting .333 with 13 home runs, 41 RBIs and has scored 46 times.
