| Breaking News |  | Monday, May 21st, 2007: Arrowheads Unknown Out Rest Of Season
It took the Orange team doctor a while to realize it, but starting pitcher Joe Unknown won't simply play through a torn tricep muscle after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Gamma Rays-Arrowheads game. At first, it looked like Unknown might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 4 months.

| Saturday, May 5th, 2007: Orange Loses Burns, Will Miss Season
Orange closer Mike Burns could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured bicep tendon. He exited yesterday's Tampa game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Burns would be out 8 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer.
"He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
To date, Burns has 7 saves. In 10 relief appearances he has tossed 11 innings, fanned 9 and given up 2 walks with no wins and no losses. The Orange reliever has recorded a 0.82 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .233 when he on the mound. |
 | Wednesday, April 4th, 2007: Arrowheads Unknown Out Rest Of Season
The season is finished for Joe Unknown of the Orange Arrowheads. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Arrowheads starting pitcher suffered a torn back muscle while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Anaheim Prowlers. Team doctors said it would take at least 12 months to heal.
