Saturday, April 28th, 2007: Monumentals Williams Down and Out for Year
Jeff Williams of the Monumentals just might have to call it quits for the season. The 23-year-old Oelwein second baseman received a possible season-ending injury against the Manhattan Huskies recently at Monumentals Ballpark. Williams suffered a fractured skull while being hit by a pitch. The Monumentals medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 7 months.

This year Williams is batting .259 with 22 hits and no home runs. He has scored 10 times and has batted in 6 runs.
