Thursday, April 12th, 2007: Ugly Incident Ends in 3-Game Suspension
Shortly after yesterday's Bluefins-Chaos game ended, Eric Dupree's on-field tantrum seemed almost comical. In response to being ejected for questioning a called third strike, the West Glendive catcher tossed his hat to the dirt and kicked it repeatedly. He couldn't help but laugh at himself and his over-the-top, hat-kicking, anger-laced tirade.

"It was funny," Dupree said. "I was hoping I could kick it all the way to the dugout."

The umpiring crew, however, didn't find it funny and neither did the league. Though Dupree said he did not think his actions warranted a suspension, he will miss 3 games.

This season Dupree is hitting .275 with 11 hits, no home runs, 5 RBIs, scored 4 runs and played in 12 games.
