 | Thursday, May 3rd, 2007: Hardy to Miss 3-4 Weeks Watching J.J. Hardy getting helped off the field today at Ballpark of Rochester, fans of the Rochester Besiegers feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the shortstop will miss 3-4 weeks with a strained elbow ligament. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Hardy suffered the injury throwing the ball in the game against the Gamma Rays. So far in 2007 Hardy has hit .345 with 7 home runs and 15 RBIs. He has played in 30 games and scored 23 times. |
