 | Monday, April 30th, 2007: Red-Hot Zaun Scorches Dreadnoughts Buffalo catcher Gregg Zaun could do no wrong in today's 8-5 win over the Dreadnoughts as he collected 5 hits. "In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor... he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Dreadnoughts said to the press corps after the game. Zaun agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." G. Zaun singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit an RBI double in the 11th. Zaun is currently hitting at a .403 pace with 1 home run, 11 RBIs and has scored 13 times. |
